Our Story
PharmD USA was established in 2010, but the groundwork was laid long before. Seeing how often “good enough” passed for standard, we created PharmD USA so every hospital, behavioral-health facility, and clinic could receive the uncompromising care they deserved.
- 1997 – 2001 – Our founders ran early BCMA pilots and unified formularies across psychiatric and forensic hospitals, establishing our safety-first culture.
- 2005 – 2009 – Designed USP <797> IV suites, expanded unit-based cart-fill to behavioral-health units, and wrote medication-safety scorecards adopted by three state systems.
- 2010 – PharmD USA officially launches.
- 2012 – Delivered our first green-field hospital pharmacy on time and under budget.
- 2013 – 2018 – Established eight new behavioral-health hospital pharmacies from blueprint to go-live—each survey-ready and fully accredited.
- 2014 – 2020 – Took over full pharmacy operations at seven hospitals with zero downtime.
- 2015 – Cleared three long-term-care facilities from CMS immediate-jeopardy tags—no repeat citations.
- 2016 – Launched our cloud-based Medication Error Reporting System, now powering Quality Improvement dashboards nationwide.
- 2018 – Surpassed 40 successful Joint Commission, CMS, DEA, and state board surveys for clients.
- 2020 – Stood up a 24/7 remote-order-entry hub in under twelve weeks, processing over ten thousand orders monthly during COVID-19.
- 2021 – Unveiled a real-time Adverse Drug Reaction Portal—instantly converting every incident into system-wide safety upgrades.
- 2021-2024 – Added eleven residential behavioral-health facilities and pharmacist-led chart and peer reviews for eighteen outpatient clinics, standardizing medication rooms and inspections across nine states.
- 2022 – Launched live online dashboards for our clients, providing real-time data for antibiotic stewardship, opioid monitoring, and remote-order insights.
- 2023- Present – PharmD USA operates coast-to-coast, supporting state, federal, and private behavioral-health hospitals, long-term care facilities and outpatient programs nationwide.
